Tawang: Where India Runs Out of Road.

Seven days from the plains of Guwahati to the edge of the map — literally. This route climbs from Tezpur through Bomdila and over Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, before reaching Tawang, home to India's largest Buddhist monastery and a war memorial built for soldiers who fought here in 1962. From there, the trip pushes further still — to Bumla Pass at 15,200 feet, close enough to see the actual line where India ends and China begins, and past Madhuri Lake, a glacial lake shaped by an earthquake.

This isn't a relaxed hill-station holiday. It's cold, high, and remote — serpentine mountain roads, thin air, and army checkpoints instead of malls and cafes. It's built for travellers who want to say they stood somewhere most Indians never will.

Terms & Conditions

Booking & Payment

50% advance payment confirms your booking.
The remaining 100% must reach us at least 7 days before departure — miss this, and your advance is forfeited and the trip is treated as cancelled.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing by the person who made the original booking.

Cancellation Charges (per person)

45+ days before travel: ₹1,000 flat + any airline/train penalty
30-45 days before: 15% of package cost + airline/train penalty
15-30 days before: 25% of package cost + airline/train penalty
7-14 days before: 50% of package cost + airline/train penalty
Less than 7 days before: no refund

Permits & ID

Carry original photo ID at all times — required both for hotel check-in and for the Inner Line Permit check at the Arunachal border in Bomdila.
For the Bumla Pass/border excursion specifically, you must hire a local vehicle — your main tour vehicle is not authorized to go there.

On the Ground

Check-in and check-out at hotels is 12:00 PM.
Our representative will meet you at the airport with a name card.
You'll receive a local contact number on arrival for any issues during the trip.
Don't leave belongings in the vehicle — recovery afterward is unlikely.
If a sightseeing spot is closed on its scheduled day, we won't shift it to another day for free — that requires extra payment.
Please follow the timing your guide sets for transfers and sightseeing.

Pricing & Policy

Rates are per person, in INR, for Indian nationals only, based on a minimum of 4 travellers together.
5% GST applies extra.
Quoted rates are minimum quotes, first-come-first-served, and can change without notice.
If your booked hotel is unavailable, a similar-category alternative will be arranged.
Meal preference (veg/non-veg/Jain) should be shared at booking.
Christmas/New Year travel carries extra hotel and mandatory gala-dinner charges.
Wear comfortable walking shoes; dress code is casual, except in national park zones.
All sightseeing — especially border and high-pass visits — is subject to weather, army clearance, and political conditions. The company isn't liable for changes caused by these factors.
The company can modify, change, or cancel the offer at its own discretion without prior notice.
